Role Overview
We are seeking a Lead Robotics Software Engineer to architect and build our foundational ROS 2 software stack. You will own the high performance C++ architecture, hardware interfaces, and core control loops of our dual arm robots. Working closely with the hardware team, you will define software standards, ensure system wide determinism, and turn advanced research into a robust, real world product.
Skills
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated experience in architecting and deploying complex robotics software or high performance software systems. You have successfully built software for reliability and scale (advanced academic research or a PhD provides a strong foundation for this).
- Core Technologies: Deep expertise in developing robust, real time software using ROS 2 and C++.
- Scripting & Tooling: Proficiency in Python for testing, scripting, and node development.
- Environment: Deep familiarity with Linux environments and collaborative software development using Git.
- Deployment: Experience with containerization (Docker) for development and deployment pipelines.
- Robotics Fundamentals: Solid understanding of robotics concepts (kinematics, control loops, sensor drivers).
- Mindset: Strong problem solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast paced, interdisciplinary environment.
- Language: Solid communication skills in English.
